Credit Card Promotions Update – Wireless Earbuds

Are you looking for a new wireless earbud? SingSaver has recently updated their credit card sign up offers and there are two promotions that offer two great earbuds – Jabra Elite Active 75t and Apple Air Pod Pro. These earbuds offer great music listening experience with clear mic audio for taking conference calls from home.

  • Citibank credit card signup promotion: Apple AirPods Pro

Standard Chartered Credit Card Promotion – Receive a Jabra Elite Active 75t

Due to overwhelming response, SingSaver had extended the promotion period from 17-31 July 2020.

Previously it was until 30 June.

The terms and condition of the promotion are:

  • All new Standard Chartered cardholders will receive Jabra Elite Active 75T Wireless Earbuds upon card activation (worth $318) and $20 cashback if you applied via MyInfo
  • Existing cardholders will receive $50 worth of Grab Food vouchers 

A new standard chartered cardholder is defined as someone who had not held any existing standard chartered credit cards or previously cancelled credit cards in the last 12 months.

Do not be fooled by the cheaper price of Jabra compared to Apple Air Pods Pro, it provides a better music listening experience. Note that this promotion is offering the “Active” version which is great for running or sports – waterproof and durable.

It is also great for calls (review), the mic quality is clear and cancels out surrounding noise. So, it will be useful for working from home.

Standard Chartered Unlimited Card

  • 1.5% cashback on all transactions
  • No minimum spend and no maximum cash rebate cap

Standard Chartered Rewards+ Card

  • 10x bonus points for overseas dining, retail and travel for every S$1 equivalent foreign spend
  • 5x bonus points for every S$1 spend on local dining
  • 1x points for S$1 spend in other categories
  • Reward points can be redeem for cashback, vouchers, miles and other perks. Refer here for more details
  • No minimum spend
  • Maximum cap of 20,000 points per year

Standard Chartered Spree Card

  • 3% cashback for online spending in foreign currencies
  • 2% cashback for online spending in local currency
  • Mobile or contactless payments also counts for 2% cashback. You could dine at a fast food restaurant and use contactless payment to get 2% rebate
  • Other retail spend is 1%, e.g. if you shop at Takashimaya without using contactless payment or mobile payment.

Citibank Credit Card Promotion – Receive $200 Cash

For the Citibank credit cards, SingSaver is offering $200 cash via PayNow for new Citibank Cardholders.

The terms and condition of the promotion are:

  • New Citibank Cardholders will receive $200 cash via Paynow upon successful card activation and making one transaction.
  • Existing Citibank cardholders will receive $30 via PayNow.

A new Citibank cardholder is defined as someone who had not held any existing citibank credit cards or previously cancelled credit cards in the last 12 months.

Citi Cash Back+ Mastercard®

  • 1.6% cashback for retail and dining
  • No minimum spend and no maximum cap on cash rebates

Citi Cash Back Card

  • 8% cashback for groceries, dining and petrol. Minimum spend of $888 per month to qualify.
  • Maximum cap of $25 cash rebate per category
  • 0.25% cashback on all other categories

Citi Rewards Card

  • 10x reward points for every $1 spend in retail
  • 1 reward point for every $1 spend in other categories

Citi Premiermiles Card

  • Earn 2 Citi Miles for every $1 equivalent foreign spend
  • Earn 1.2 Citi Miles for every $1 local spend
  • Citi miles never expire.
  • 1 Citi Mile = 1 Krisflyer Mile. The conversion to krisflyer miles is direct 1:1.
  • 2 complimentary visits every year to airport lounges worldwide

Citi Prestige Card

  • Earn 5 ThankYou Points (2 miles) for every $1 equivalent foreign spend
  • Earn 3.25 ThankYou Points (1.3 miles) for every $1 local spend
  • ThankYou Points/Citi Miles never expire.
  • ThankYou Points be exchanged for a variety of frequent flyer miles, hotel stays, rewards and cash rebates.
  • Unlimited airport lounge access worldwide for cardmember + 1 guest
  • 1 free night’s stay at any hotel or resort with a booking of at least 4 nights. Bookings must be made via Citi Prestige Concierge.
  • 6 complimentary golf games at golf courses in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China
  • However, minimum income requirement is 120,000 annnually and it charges a high annual fee ($535 per year inclusive of GST)

Additional Note for Rewards Redemption Steps

You need to do the following to redeem your reward:

Once you had click my link, you will be directed to the SingSaver website. Enter your email to start the application. SingSaver will send you instructions for reward redemption via the email you had provided.

Note: the Apple AirPods Pro is only for the previous promotion. SingSaver is offering $200 cash for the current offer.

Continue your credit card application with the bank. If you are not automatically directed, click the link to continue application with the bank.

Complete your application with the bank

4. Check your email. You will receive two emails: one from SingSaver and one from the bank.

  • The bank email will have your application number which is needed to fill up the rewards redemption form. Here is the Instruction on how to find your application number.
  • Open the email from SingSaver and click “Secure Your Reward”

You will be prompted to create an account (or login with your SingSaver account if you already have one).

Once you have created an account, you will be redirected to a form to redeem your reward. Fill it up and submit it. The application reference no is obtained from the email sent from the bank.

You will receive a confirmation screen once you had completed the process.
